# **SERVER DOWNTIME ANNOUNCEMENT**

The server will be shutting down in approximately **8 hours** so we can begin migrating everything over to the **new core**.
We expect the server to be offline for approximately **2–3 days** while we complete the migration, transfer the necessary data, test everything, and make sure the new core is stable before reopening.
This is a major backend upgrade, so we want to take the time to do it properly rather than rush the process and create unnecessary issues.
**Expected Timeline**
• Shutdown: In approximately **8 hours**
• Downtime: Around **2–3 days**
• Reason: **Migration to the new core and post-migration testing**
## **Required Client Updates**
When the server comes back online, everyone will need to update their client.
You will need to download and install:
• **Patch 4**
• **Patch 5**
• **Patch 7**
• **Patch 8**
• **Patch Z**
• **d3d9.dll**
• **AbyssEngine.dll**
• **A new WoW.exe**
## ⚠️ **Important**
Before installing the new files, make sure you **delete the old `realmlist.dll`** from your WoW folder.
The two new DLL files replacing the old setup are:
• `d3d9.dll`
• `AbyssEngine.dll`
These files, along with the new WoW.exe and required patches, will be necessary to connect once the server is back online.
Download links and any additional installation instructions will be posted before launch.
We’ll keep everyone updated here as progress is made and will post another announcement once the server is ready to come back online.
